Plagiarism Policy

1. Introduction

The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Computational Management and Engineering Systems (IJAICMES) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing practices.

Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable. All submitted manuscripts are carefully screened to ensure originality and compliance with international publication ethics standards.

The journal strongly encourages authors to submit authentic, original, and properly cited research work.

2. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to the use of another person’s ideas, text, data, images, research findings, or intellectual work without proper acknowledgment or citation.

Forms of plagiarism include, but are not limited to:

Direct Plagiarism

Copying text, figures, tables, images, or data directly from another source without proper citation.

Self-Plagiarism

Reusing previously published work, research papers, or substantial portions of one’s own content without proper acknowledgment or citation.

Mosaic Plagiarism

Paraphrasing or modifying content from another source without giving appropriate credit.

Improper Citation

Failure to acknowledge references, quotations, datasets, or source materials correctly.

Data Fabrication and Falsification

Manipulating, inventing, or falsifying research data, experimental results, references, or findings.

 

3. Plagiarism Detection Process

All manuscripts submitted to IJAICMES undergo plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection tools and editorial evaluation.

Acceptable Similarity Index

The journal generally allows a similarity index of ≤10%, excluding:

· Properly cited references

· Bibliography

· Standard technical terms

· Common phrases

Editorial Review

If similarity exceeds the acceptable limit, the manuscript may:

· Be returned for revision

· Undergo further investigation

· Be rejected based on the severity of plagiarism

The editorial board reserves the right to make the final decision regarding plagiarism evaluation.

 

4. Consequences of Plagiarism

Appropriate actions are taken depending on the level and seriousness of plagiarism detected.

 

4.1 Before Acceptance

Similarity ≤10%

The manuscript proceeds to peer review and editorial evaluation.

Similarity Between 10%–25%

The manuscript may be returned to the author(s) for correction, rewriting, and proper citation.

Similarity Above 25%

The manuscript may be rejected immediately due to excessive plagiarism or unethical academic practices.

4.2 After Publication

If plagiarism or unethical content is identified after publication:

· The article may be retracted from the journal website and associated platforms.

· A retraction notice may be issued.

· The author(s) may be restricted from future submissions.

· The concerned institution, organization, or funding agency may be informed if necessary.

The journal reserves full authority to take appropriate editorial and ethical action.

 

5. Self-Plagiarism and Duplicate Submission

Authors must ensure that:

· The submitted manuscript is original and unpublished.

· The manuscript is not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

· Previously published content is properly cited and acknowledged.

· Duplicate publication and redundant submissions are strictly avoided.

Any violation may result in rejection or retraction.

 

6. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to IJAICMES must:

 Submit only original and authentic research work
 Properly cite all references and borrowed materials
 Obtain permission for copyrighted materials where required
 Ensure accuracy of research data and results
 Avoid fabrication, falsification, and unethical research practices
 Cooperate with editors during plagiarism investigations

Authors are fully responsible for the integrity and authenticity of their submitted work.

 

7. Editorial Rights and Responsibilities

The editorial board of IJAICMES reserves the right to:

· Conduct plagiarism checks at any stage of submission or publication
